What is Maiar
Maiar is a non-custodial wallet built on the Elrond blockchain. The app is available for download in the App Store, Google Play, and App Gallery.
Maiar uses a cryptographic hash of your phone number to generate a blockchain wallet securely. It does not store users' private keys and does not have access to their funds.
Maiar's Features
Users can store and transfer Elrond's native token EGLD, ETH, BNB, BTC, MEX, RIDE, ITHEUM, and other assets.
The main page of the wallet displays the account balance and statistics on the EGLD token. Users can track the circulating emission, how many coins will be issued before the end of staking, and the number of token holders.
Users can also set their own purchase goals, and the app will notify them when it's time to buy EGLD tokens. Additionally, users can buy EGLD, BNB, and ETH with a credit card.
Staking
You need to become a validator to stake cryptocurrency and receive income directly. Elrond supports delegation so that users can delegate their EGLD tokens to validators.
The minimum staking amount is 1 EGLD. Everstake has its pool so that you can stake tokens directly to us. Press the button Earn and choose a Staking Provider. You can stake and unstake your EGLD, claims rewards, and watch the information about these transactions.
You can search Staking Providers on the list or manually find a necessary one.
Herotags
Maiar allows users to send EGLD tokens via phone number or herotags. Herotags are usernames made with the DNS (Distributed Name System) service on the Elrond blockchain. You can create your herotag in the profile section. DNS solves the problem of complex and unreadable addresses. For example, Ethereum addresses use Base16 encoding in hexadecimal; they are a 20-byte string that starts at 0x and are 42 characters long.
Example ERC20 address: 0x4762417ae0fDfA3A3A9c866fD1D1BDfDAaE734F0
Complex addresses can lead to social engineering attacks or mistakes. Its owner does not remember it, and attackers can replace the real address with a fake one. And such cases have already occurred.
Elrond solves the problem of complex URLs by offering herotags in the format of the name.elrond, for example: everstake.elrond. Users choose and reserve an accessible address for themselves. DNS serves as a translator, tying together complex information pieces and making addresses readable.
Viewing and adding new contacts are available in the "Contacts" section of the wallet.
Maiar does not store user phone numbers. The address book is only stored on the local device.
Also, you can receive, send and store NFTs in your wallet.
Referral Program
Referrals earn 0.5% of all the purchases made by their referred friends. In addition, newly registered users receive $10 worth of EGLD tokens after completing their first purchase for at least $200.
Maiar Digital Wallet is safe and easy to use. You can quickly transfer funds using a phone number or @herotag instead of complicated and long addresses.
