What is the expected duration of the KYC

Due to the project’s KYC regulations, the KYC process can take between 24 and 48 hours to be reviewed.

What are the most common reasons why a KYC can fail ?

  1. Mismatch in the "First (Given) Name" and "Last (Family) Name" Where the information you provide in the launchpad form before starting KYC process doesn't match the information from the ID provided - this is the most common issue
  2. Put in the full name (including middle name or second name)
  3. Do not redo your 2nd KYC using a new wallet address or new email address.
  4. Don't use a scan of a photo/image e.g. a scan of a photo or copy of your passport. Take a clear "photo" of your document
  5. Poor quality photo of the ID. Avoid lighting reflexions or blurry photos
  6. Poor quality Selfie photo (lighting or bad background)
  7. Document information is covered - i.e. don't cover important information of your passport with your finger or out of view from the camera
  8. Make sure your address is viewable on the submitted document
  9. You are using ID documents that are not allowed by the KYC software - e.g. You select "Passport" but then upload your "Driver's License"
  10. Your ID is from a list of countries that are excluded from participating.
  11. In order to use Maiar Launchpad, you must be an individual 18 years of age or older.
  12. Your Proof of Address document is not fitting to the project’s criteria. Please make sure that:
  13. You use a real document, bill or statement
  14. The information in the document matches your ID
  15. The document is not older than 3 months since the submission date
  16. Documents without MRZ (machine readable zone) bands are not accepted in the KYC process

If my KYC fails the first time, how many retry chances do I get ?

  • In most situations you will get a maximum of 2 attempts to complete your KYC
  • In some situations (like legal or excluded country issues or if you have already completed a KYC using a different address), you may only get 1 chance

Can I use multiple wallets and do multiple KYCs to buy more lottery tickets ?

No you cannot. You can ONLY do 1 successful KYC which is tied to a single address. This is to ensure a fair distribution of the tokens and prevent fraud.

My KYC keeps failing, where can I get support ?

The KYC feature on the Maiar Launchpad is built by the Elrond team by using a 3rd party KYC technology platform. The Elrond team does not have access to users data in order to correct or manage Maiar Launchpad KYC entries.

But the Elrond team will do everything they can to help you escalate any issues to the KYC Provider. Before you reach out to them with a complaint, please see above the most common reasons why a KYC can fail.

To get in touch with us please send an e-mail to kycsupport@ashswap.io with the following mandatory information:

  • Your full name
  • The email address you used when you started the KYC process
  • Your Elrond wallet address (erd1…) used in the KYC process
